U is for Uhura

I wanted to capture the essence of Uhura in her prime - the flashing dynamic red, the televisual rarity (in those days) of brown skin and the teeny tiny skirts
I didn't want too much detail or even thought - just broad slashing strokes and thick, thick paint.
the strokes on the  left represent her iconic earpiece.

In 26 days I am putting on my first ever exhibition.  It is a joint exhibition with an amazing painter by the name of Jon Jones, with each of us producing 26 pieces - one for each letter of the alphabet - to be framed side by side.
I am utilising digital painting, virtual sculpture and photoshop for my pieces.  Over the next few weeks I will upload them here from Z to A.
